Broadcaster & Media Specialist
ABOUT MARK SHELLEY
Mark Shelley has developed a love of sports broadcasting throughout his life, starting in his youth. First finding his love of broadcasting while viewing Canadian broadcasts of NHL games, Shelley used his love of sports and the fascination with broadcasting to pursue an education and a career in sports broadcasting and media relations. Shelley currently occupies the role of the "Voice of Cornell Wrestling" as a member of the ESPN Ithaca broadcast team.
While continuing to hone his skills and grow as a broadcaster with ESPN Ithaca, Shelley practices his craft as the play-by-play broadcaster for NCAA Division I Cornell University Women's Ice Hockey through RLM Sports. While in the booth at Lynah Rink, Shelley has covered nationally-rank matchups and ECAC Playoffs for the Big Red.
Prior to his time with ESPN Ithaca and RLM Sports, Shelley spent time working for his alma mater, Mansfield University, as the "Voice of the Mountaineers," providing play-by-play for all Mountaineer events via the PSAC Network. Additionally, Shelley spent time as the Corporate Partnership Manager, selling corporate-level advertising for athletic events.
Before joining the Mountaineers, Shelley spent time creating a well-rounded base in media relations and marketing in professional and collegiate baseball. Working with the New York-Penn League's Tri-City ValleyCats and the Florida Collegiate Summer League's Altamonte Springs Boom, Shelley has established an expansive knowledge of marketing and media relations techniques within professional organizations.
Holding a degree in Mass Communications, Electronic Media, Shelley is honored to be an alumnus of Mansfield University.
